This book will be published later in the year, it will explore how we look at imagery and how we see the world. The eye is a complex organ connected to the brain which does a whole load of processing. All the images are taken at the shutter speed in the camera, that shutter speed corralates to length of time the eye retains the image. Retinal retention is what it’s called and although we see perfectly well our actual visual stimulus is not so clear. Clearly the eye and visual cortex are working well but the juxtaposition of sharp and out of focus images is not what we expect from todays film and technology. Depending on whether you are moving or standing still the images are so random and displaced from our normal environment. The imagery will be accompanied by text to expand on the context and theory. The big question is, are our actions played out in real time or are they delayed by this action.
